Ode in summertime
Esperimenti di fotografia e design, forme e colori.
Photography and design experiments, shapes and colors.
It is a photographic exploration that captures the island's essence through an experimental approach to composition, color, and form. Shot over a single day, the series distills Capri's iconic landscape into a study of visual relationships—where architecture meets nature, shadow defines volume, and the Mediterranean light transforms ordinary surfaces into chromatic events.
The work moves beyond traditional landscape documentation to investigate the island as a collection of abstract elements: the geometry of whitewashed walls against azure sky, the rhythm of stairways ascending toward invisible vanishing points, the interplay between organic rock formations and human-made structures. Each photograph isolates fragments of the island's visual language, emphasizing texture, negative space, and the particular quality of coastal luminosity.
This project approaches Capri not as a picturesque destination but as a laboratory for visual experimentation—a place where intense natural beauty becomes raw material for exploring fundamental questions of photographic seeing: how color carries emotion, how shape creates narrative, how light constructs space.
