My-My"My-my" tells the story of Bucaletto, a district on the outskirts of Potenza, originally built in response to the aftermath of the 1980 Irpinia earthquake. Initially conceived as a temporary solution, Bucaletto became a permanent reality, bordering the town’s steel plant. A place marked by discomfort, social fragmentation, and abandonment—words that well describe its condition. Only recently have demolition works begun to redevelop the area and reconnect it to the city, yet the steel plant remains, bearing witness to an industrial reality that has shaped Bucaletto’s identity. This narrative is an exploration where the desire for emancipation and independence clashes with a reality still heavily shaped by industrial history and environmental challenges. A place that, despite its struggles, seeks a new identity and a renewed connection to the urban context.
