In the technological-evolutionary race, humanity has lost to its own creation: the machine. The rapid advancement of automation and digitalization has ultimately swallowed him whole. What remains of humanity? This imaginary inspection would reveal fragments of a civilization whose existence was abruptly cut short, and whose data is now confused and distorted. These traces are locked within the memory of a machine that has no inherent need to tell a story. As a result, the machine's narrative no longer adheres to the criteria of accuracy and fidelity; instead, credibility is established arbitrarily, mainly because it is now the only source. It presents a storytelling of our existence in a post-truth key, with no frame of reference.
What constitutes our presumed Western superiority is our history, culture (or what's left of it), and the control of truth and information. Daily comparisons with the rest of the world about fake news are commonplace, and the looming end is driving everyone towards merciless revisionism. Thus, we are capable of believing anything—largely because we have tried to show everything, not only through images but also through facts and their narratives.
In much the same way, a person who, for the first time in this post-human scenario, encounters the machine's account will believe everything it reports.
